Sweetcorn fritters (Bajiyas, Pakora)


Sweetcorn Bhajiya

1 tin sweetcorn
1 medium sized Onion – finely chopped
1 cup self raising flour
1 egg
1 cup chana flour (chickpea flour)
1 tsp Green chilli ground
1 tsp cumin/jeera powder – to your taste
Water to make batter
Coriander leaves – finely chopped
Salt as to your taste

Place the sweetcorn with the blender, don’t blend too fine.
In a bowl mix together everything else.
Add water to make thick batter.
Fry in hot oil till they become golden brown.
Then drain Serve hot with tomato ketchup or any spicy chutney.
