Jalapeno Poppers

Jalapeno poppers are jalapenos that have been stuffed with a mixture of cheeses and spices then breaded and deep fried. Great if you like your snacks spicy. I tend to  remove the seeds and veins, but if you are feeling brave leave them in.

12 fresh jalapeno peppers
8 oz. Cream Cheese
8 oz. grated Cheddar Cheese
1 cup seasoned flour
2 cups dry breadcrumbs
1 egg, beaten
Salt and pepper
Oil for frying

Cut a slit the Jalapenos lengthwise into half. Scrape out seeds and veins.

Mix the cream cheese, grated cheese, salt and pepper. Spoon the mixture into the jalapenos. .

Roll the jalapenos in flour before dipping in egg, then roll in breadcrumbs until evenly coated. Place on a tray and refrigerate 30 min.

Heat oil in medium pan Add fry in batches, until golden brown. Drain

Serve warm.
